At Wharton Marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is included as an integral part of all of our websites. Without good SEO, your website will not be found by potential customers using the search engines like Google.

SEO has changed a lot over the years. And what was considered good practice in the past, can get you banned from Google now. We use the latest good SEO practices. We believe in writing good content (content marketing) and using social media (like FaceBook).

Today, you must think like both Google and your potential customers. Google wants to provide searchers with a good experience. That means getting them the results they are after.

301 Redirects

If you are refreshing your WordPress site or transferring a site from html or another CMS, you probably need some 301 Redirects. 301 Redirects are essential for maintaining any Google juice you may have had from your previous website. Without 301 Redirects, anyone (including Google) trying to access a URL from your old site that doesn't exist on your new site will get a 404 Page Not Found error.

We implement 301 Redirects on all sites we refresh or move from html or another CMS.
